I recently took the plunge and bought a pair of the Frye Melissa Button Boots in black. Since I blindly ordered them online without first going to a store to try them on, I wasn't sure whether to choose the regular or wide calf version. After reading several reviews online, I opted for the wide calf or 'extended calf' as Frye calls it. As a point of reference, I own a pair of the Hunter original rain boots and I find they're quite snug around my calves. I am really glad I purchased the Extended Calf Melissa Button Boots because they fit perfectly. When I first tried them on when they arrived, they were a little tighter than I expected, but after I wore them for a few hours, they ended up stretching slightly. I should also mention that they fit true to size - I'm generally a size 7.5 in most shoes, and the same was true for these boots. These boots fit perfectly, they look great, they're extremely well made and the leather is phenomenal. As a bonus, if you buy them through Amazon, you not only get free shipping, but you can also subscribe to their 'shoes' email list to receive 20% of your purchase (Frye boots always seem to be excluded from sales on other sites).

While most sunglasses carry out a function, they also add color and style to any outfit. Aviators and oversized sunglasses take a back seat this season as retro cat-eye shapes are back on the runway. Look out for reds, oranges and pinks to make a statement this Spring. Below are my favorite online finds - including a stunning and unique pair from Alexander McQueen (which also come in more traditional colors if you're not as adventurous!)

Spring is by far, my favorite season to shop for. It's a great feeling to know that winter's almost done and I can celebrate by pulling out my flats, espadrilles, dresses and bright colors! But, a word to the wise, get ready to shop for spring outfits even when you know you can't wear them for a couple more weeks (or months) - the stores seem to skip ahead to summer clothing before you know it.
